Shahzore Shah
Shahzore is a versatile singer who has always enjoyed performing a wide variety of genres as a soloist and in ensembles. He recently completed ten years touring, performing and educating with the Twin Cities based vocal ensemble, Cantus. He takes pride in the collaborative rehearsal process and the inherent opportunities to develop ones personal skills as well as benefiting the whole ensemble.

Shahzore also continues to draw from his training at the Lawrence University Conservatory of
Music, teaching and performing in Haiti as a volunteer at the Holy Trinity Music School,
performing at the Bay View Music Festival and private study and freelance performing in New York. He finds new music and fusing music from different traditions especially meaningful, having been primarily influenced by his mother, a classical pianist and his father, an Indian poet and singer.

Shahzore teaches voice lessons at Roseville High School, the Friends School of Minnesota and at Unity Church-Unitarian, where he sings as a member of the music staff. He performs regularly with local artists, including the First Readings Project and the Lau Hawaiian Collective He lives in Highland Park, Saint Paul with his husband, Daniel. At home, you will likely find Shahzore gardening or cooking, as he is always on the lookout for delicious food.
